Description
A pair of vintage leaping deer weathervanes crafted from copper, showcasing a gracefully aged verdigris patina that speaks to their years of outdoor service. Each deer is dynamically posed, capturing the fluid motion of a leap, with intricately detailed antlers lending an air of regality. The copper's natural oxidation has resulted in a rich tapestry of green and brown hues, characteristic of prolonged exposure to the elements, adding a layer of authentic charm to the pieces. Mounted on sturdy wooden bases, the wood exhibits a warm, even grain that complements the aged metalwork, enhancing their overall visual appeal. The weathervanes remain structurally sound, testament to their robust construction, with no visible repairs or losses that might compromise their integrity. Minor surface wear and oxidation are present, typical of such artifacts and contributing to their storied history. These weathervanes stand as striking decorative objects, embodying both artistry and functionality from a bygone era. Their presence is both commanding and graceful, capturing a timeless snapshot of nature in motion. Perfect for collectors or enthusiasts of vintage outdoor décor, these pieces offer a glimpse into an era where craftsmanship and aesthetic consideration were paramount in even the most utilitarian objects.
