Description
Crafted from a combination of slate and cement, this vintage hedgehog sculpture presents a charming blend of rustic and whimsical elements. The body is sculpted from cement, capturing the creature's rounded form with simple yet expressive details, such as its prominent nose and perked ears. The use of slate for the spines adds texture and a naturalistic element, with each piece carefully arranged to mimic the hedgehog's distinctive quills. The surface displays minor scuffs and slight discoloration, indicative of the piece's age, yet it remains structurally sound and free from significant chips. The sculpture's dimensions, 10.75 inches in width, 6.75 inches in height, and 7.75 inches in depth, allow it to serve as a delightful garden accent or an intriguing indoor conversation piece. Its solid construction ensures durability while maintaining its original form. The slate's earthy tones and the cement's weathered patina complement each other, creating a harmonious visual effect that is both endearing and robust. Overall, this piece embodies a playful yet sophisticated aesthetic, suitable for collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate vintage garden statuary with a touch of character and history. Its enduring charm lies in the subtle interplay between its materials and the delightful representation of the beloved hedgehog.
