Description

Crafted from iron, this vintage scrollwork plant holder embodies a decorative yet functional form, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The piece features elaborate scroll motifs that curl gracefully along its legs and frame, creating an airy latticework appearance. The top basket is designed with an intricate open pattern, providing both stability and visual interest for displaying potted plants. The iron surface reveals a history of outdoor use, with significant rust and paint loss evident throughout. Despite this wear, the underlying structure remains robust. The existing patina, a mix of iron oxide and remnants of light-colored paint, offers an authentic aged charm, though restoration could enhance its longevity and appearance. The upright form, measuring 29.25 inches in height, stands firmly on its original feet, ensuring it remains a reliable support for your floral display. The overall condition, while visually worn, does not detract from its potential as a distinctive garden or interior piece. Its vintage character is enhanced by the honest signs of age, making it an intriguing candidate for those who appreciate the blend of historical aesthetics with practical utility.
