Description
A pair of vintage stools crafted by Schumacher, featuring a distinctive pencil reed rattan construction. The cylindrical form is defined by vertical rattan reeds that create a visually appealing texture, showcasing a warm, honeyed patina that speaks to their age and authenticity. The original finish has developed a subtle sheen, with minor scuffs and light wear that add character without detracting from their overall elegance. The stools are topped with upholstered cushions in a bold floral fabric, which contrasts beautifully with the natural tones of the rattan. The upholstery is in good condition, maintaining its vibrant pattern with no significant fading or stains observed. The fabric's tactile quality complements the smoothness of the rattan, offering a pleasing juxtaposition of textures. These stools measure 15 inches in width, 18.5 inches in height, and 13.5 inches in depth, making them ideal as versatile accent pieces. The combination of high-quality materials and thoughtful design is indicative of Schumacher's renowned craftsmanship. This pair is a fine example of mid-century design aesthetics, blending organic materials with functional form.
