Description
An exquisite vintage octagonal side table crafted from richly grained wood, featuring intricate mother of pearl inlay. The table's surface is adorned with a central medallion of floral motifs, framed by a geometric border that highlights the masterful craftsmanship. The inlay work, carefully executed, remains intact and contributes to a warm, inviting patina that speaks to the piece's age and authenticity. Each of the eight panels of the table's apron is embellished with delicate inlaid details, creating a cohesive decorative theme that extends to the gracefully arched legs. The original finish is well-preserved, showing minor surface scuffs and slight wear, particularly along the edges, consistent with careful use over time. Despite its vintage status, the table remains structurally sound, with no visible repairs or losses, suggesting it has been well-maintained. The table's dimensions — 24 inches in width, height, and depth — offer a versatile profile suitable for various settings. The combination of the intricate inlay and the table's balanced proportions make it a distinguished example of skilled craftsmanship, likely originating from the early to mid-20th century. This side table not only serves as a functional piece but also as a testament to the enduring appeal of finely executed decorative arts.
