Description

A set of six vintage carved faux bois dining chairs, exhibiting a masterful imitation of wood grain with meticulous detailing. Crafted from wood, these chairs feature a rich, warm patina, consistent across the set, with the original finish intact. The chairs display a harmonious blend of naturalistic carving and elegant form, typical of the faux bois technique, which mimics the texture and appearance of bark. Cane backs provide a classic touch, skillfully integrated into the carved frames, while the upholstered seats are a muted olive tone, offering a subdued contrast to the textured wooden surfaces. The upholstery is in very good condition, showing minimal wear, and the cushioning remains firm. Minor scuffs and light wear on the legs and armrests reflect gentle use, appropriate for their age. Dimensions are consistent with the side chair measuring 18.75 inches in width, 17 inches in depth, and 38.5 inches in height. The armchairs provide additional comfort with their elegantly curved armrests and slightly broader seat dimensions. This set embodies both aesthetic appeal and functional design, ideal for those appreciating vintage craftsmanship.
