Description

A pair of vintage tufted velvet X benches, combining wood and fabric to create a striking mid-century form. Each bench features a plush, tufted cushion, upholstered in velvet with a subtle sheen, showcasing age-related fading and wear that adds character consistent with their vintage nature. The cushions rest atop a solid wooden frame, crafted in the distinctive X shape, offering both visual interest and structural integrity. The wood, likely a sturdy hardwood, exhibits a smooth grain with minor scuffs and surface wear, typical of pieces with a rich history of use. These benches are well-proportioned, with dimensions that make them versatile for various settings. Despite the passage of time, the upholstery retains its tactile charm, and the wood remains robust, ensuring functionality alongside aesthetic appeal. Overall, these X benches present a compelling blend of form and function, with their elegantly worn velvet contrasting the more defined lines of the wooden base. They are poised to serve both as practical seating and as a decorative statement, reflecting the mid-century design ethos.
