Description
A striking pair of vintage sculptural bird metal lamps, crafted from metal and brass, embodying an artful fusion of form and function. Each lamp features an elegant composition of three birds, captured mid-flight, affixed to a slender, rectangular frame. The original patinated finish showcases a nuanced verdigris, accentuating the avian forms with a touch of rustic charm. The surface reveals minor rust and oxidation, imparting an authentic aged character consistent with the lamps' vintage provenance. The birds, with their stylized elongated wings and streamlined bodies, exude a sense of dynamic movement, while the frames stand as sturdy supports, their surfaces subtly textured by time. The lamps rest on rectangular bases, providing a stable foundation and enhancing their sculptural presence. The brass elements, including the sockets, retain hints of their original luster, contrasting subtly with the verdant patina of the birds and frames. Structurally sound, these lamps are free from significant damage or repairs, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional integrity. At a height of 26.75 inches, they present a commanding presence, making them an intriguing addition to spaces that appreciate the beauty of sculptural lighting and vintage design.
