Description
A set of two vintage woven baskets crafted from wicker and rattan, showcasing the artisanal skill of their era. These baskets feature a classic rectangular form with a robust woven pattern, indicative of careful handcrafting. The rattan exhibits a warm, honeyed patina, achieved through years of gentle aging, which enhances the natural beauty of the material. Subtle variations in the weave, combined with minor scuffs and edge wear, speak to their vintage character and history. Structurally intact, the baskets display consistent craftsmanship with tight, secure weaving and no visible breaks or repairs. The top edges are wrapped in a thicker rattan, creating a defined border that adds to their visual appeal, as well as contributing to their sturdy construction. Each basket measures 7.75 inches in width, 1.5 inches in height, and 4.25 inches in depth, making them versatile for various uses. These baskets, with their appealing aged finish, are both decorative and functional. Their refined yet rustic appearance can complement a range of interior styles, offering a practical solution for organizing small items while adding a hint of vintage charm to any setting.
