Description

This charming vintage studio pottery bowl, signed by the artist "Salman," is a beautiful example of organic modern ceramic art. Hand-thrown with a distinctive squared-off rim, the vessel features four impressed spiral medallions that add a rhythmic, almost ancient feel to the exterior. The warm ochre glaze is finished with earthy speckling and a subtle luster, while the interior reveals a wonderful spiral throw-pattern at the base. Its robust, stoneware-like quality and Brutalist influence make it an ideal piece for those who appreciate the soulfulness of handmade artisan pottery and the beauty of perfectly imperfect forms. Measuring 7 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall, this versatile bowl is perfectly sized for use as a functional serving piece, a fruit bowl, or a standout decorative object on a minimalist shelf. The underside is clearly signed "Salman" and features an unglazed, textured footring that showcases the natural clay body. It is in great vintage condition, with minor surface variations and light scuffs that enhance its authentic handcrafted character and vintage patina. A soulful addition to any collection of studio ceramics, this piece invites tactile engagement and a sense of history into your home.
