Description

A vintage organic form ceramic dish crafted with evident artistry, showcasing a striking interplay of color and texture. Measuring 17.5 inches in width, 2 inches in height, and 13.75 inches in depth, this piece captivates with its undulating, scalloped edges that evoke the fluidity of natural forms. The glaze, a vibrant blend of earthy browns and dynamic blues, cascades across the surface, creating a rich and varied patina that speaks to its handcrafted origin. The central basin of the dish features a swirling, almost cosmic pattern, where the deep blues transition into lighter hues, punctuated by natural glaze imperfections typical of artisanal ceramics. These variations provide a tactile quality, engaging both the eye and the hand. The exterior edges bear a glossy finish, enhancing the visual depth and drawing attention to the complex interactions of color. In very good condition, the dish maintains its structural integrity without visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor surface irregularities and glaze nuances add character, underscoring its unique handmade nature. This piece embodies both form and function, serving as a testament to mid-20th-century ceramic craftsmanship while offering versatility for decorative display or practical use.
