Description
Create an entrance of unparalleled grandeur with this pair of monumental vintage wrought iron columns. Channeling the romantic elegance of a Victorian garden or a Beaux-Arts conservatory, these architectural masterpieces feature a dramatic open-work design composed of vertical iron rods that mimic the fluting of classical stone pillars. The capitals and bases are lavishly adorned with hand-forged scrollwork, luscious grape clusters, and trailing ivy vines, evoking a Dionysian sense of abundance and history. The heavy iron construction is finished in a deep, matte black, providing a striking silhouette that commands attention in any setting. Standing at a towering 91 inches in height with a substantial 17.25-inch square footprint, these columns are true statement pieces. They are perfectly suited for flanking a grand driveway or garden gate, defining an outdoor room, or serving as dramatic architectural features within a high-ceilinged loft or foyer. The tops are flat and sturdy enough to support hanging ferns or architectural lanterns. The pair is in vintage condition, displaying a weathered patina and signs of oxidation consistent with age and exposure to the elements, which only enhances their authentic, "found artifact" charm. Add this breathtaking architectural duo to your estate for a touch of timeless splendor.
