Description

Crafted by Mauro Pasquinelli for Pallavisini Edition, this vintage "Cactus" coat stand is a striking example of mid-century design. Fashioned from lacquered wood, it features a distinctive form reminiscent of a blossoming cactus, with gracefully curved arms extending from the central column. The lacquer finish retains its original painted surface, exhibiting minor wear consistent with age, such as light scuffs and small nicks, which do not detract from its visual appeal. The coat stand stands at an elegant 66.75 inches in height, with a stable tripod base that ensures structural integrity. The sleek, minimalist design emphasizes both functionality and aesthetic appeal, showcasing Pasquinelli's skill in marrying form and function. The wood's smooth texture is enhanced by the lacquer's subtle sheen, highlighting the clean lines and sculptural quality of the piece. Perfectly proportioned at 23 inches wide and 22.5 inches deep, the stand is both a practical storage solution and a conversation piece. Mauro Pasquinelli's design for Pallavisini Edition captures the playful yet sophisticated spirit of mid-century modernism, making this coat stand an ideal addition to any interior with an appreciation for iconic design.
