Description

A vintage lamp featuring a carved jadite column set within a brass and wood assembly, likely dating to the mid-20th century. The jadite is intricately carved with a design that suggests traditional motifs, showcasing a subtle translucency and rich, variegated green hue. Surface wear and minor chipping along the edges indicate the passage of time, adding to the piece's character. The brass fittings display a natural patina, with minor tarnishing that enhances the vintage appeal, while the detailed floral engravings on the brass collar highlight craftsmanship. The lamp is supported by a robust wooden base, exhibiting a warm, reddish-brown tone with visible grain patterns. Light scuffs are present but do not detract from the overall structural integrity. The base itself is octagonal, providing a stable foundation and complementing the verticality of the jadite column above. Decorative carvings in the wood incorporate traditional elements, harmonizing with the lamp's overall aesthetic. Standing at 15 inches in height, this lamp is both a functional and decorative object, suitable for eclectic or period-inspired interiors. Its blend of materials and detailed workmanship reflect a thoughtful design, making it a distinctive piece for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage lighting.
