Description
A pair of vintage Italian hand-painted crane figurines, crafted from porcelain, captures the elegance and grace of these majestic birds. The figures stand poised with elongated necks and slender legs, exhibiting a remarkable attention to detail in their form and posture. The bodies are adorned with a vibrant glaze, featuring delicate strokes of white, brown, and grey feathers that contrast beautifully against the bright yellow beaks and the lush green foliage they rest upon. The original ceramic finish remains well-preserved, showcasing a glossy sheen that enhances the vibrancy of the colors. Subtle surface scuffs and slight wear, particularly on the bases, are consistent with the age of the pieces, yet do not detract from their overall appeal. Each figurine is structurally sound, with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs, indicating careful handling over the years. Standing at nearly 18 inches tall, these figurines present an impressive display, their dimensions adding a sense of presence and sophistication. The artistry reflects a skilled craftsmanship, with the flowing lines and lifelike depiction of the cranes set against stylized leafy supports. An evocative addition for collectors of fine Italian porcelain, these figurines embody both aesthetic beauty and historical charm.
