Description

Handcrafted from richly grained wood, this vintage statue of St. Francis of Assisi stands as a testament to skilled craftsmanship. Measuring 39 inches in height, the piece captures the serene presence of the saint, his gentle expression carved with precision. The statue features a delicately carved bird nestled in his hands, symbolizing St. Francis's connection to nature. The figure is draped in a traditional robe, with a subtly textured surface that enhances the depth and dimension of the garment. The wood maintains its original finish, showcasing a warm, aged patina that speaks to its history. The surface exhibits characteristic wear, including minor chips at the base and edges, lending authenticity and a sense of time. Despite these signs of age, the statue remains structurally sound with no visible repairs, allowing the viewer to appreciate its unaltered state. The base provides a stable foundation, complementing the vertical elegance of the piece. This artwork not only reflects a deep spiritual essence but also displays the skilled hand of its creator, making it an admirable addition for collectors of religious art or those appreciating fine woodwork.
