Description
A pair of vintage hand-painted web back armchairs crafted from wood, showcasing an elegant design that likely hails from the mid-20th century. The chairs feature a distinctive circular web-back design with intricate hand-painted detailing that adds a touch of artistry to their form. The original wood finish displays noticeable wear, particularly along the legs and arms, with chipping that reveals layers of history and use, imparting a characterful patina. The upholstery is a plaid fabric in muted shades, which complements the dark wood and adds a subtle texture to the overall aesthetic. While the upholstery shows light wear, it remains entirely functional and fits securely over the seat, contributing to the chairs' comfort. The armchairs are structurally sound, with no significant damage or repairs noted, ensuring they are ready for continued use. Each chair balances on four tapered legs, their graceful curves echoed in the arms' design, displaying a fluidity consistent with classic style influences. These chairs encapsulate a harmonious blend of form and function, where the artistic back design not only serves as a visual focal point but also as a testament to skilled craftsmanship.
