Description
The vintage hand-painted ceramic platter features a whimsical pear motif, demonstrating a vibrant and playful aesthetic. Crafted with an oval form, it measures approximately 17.75 inches in width, 11.25 inches in depth, and stands 2 inches high. The surface is adorned with delicately rendered pears, painted in lively greens and yellows against a soft teal background. Each pear is unique, showcasing subtle variations in shading and detail, which adds a charming, artisanal quality to the piece. The platter's rim is finished in a contrasting soft yellow, framing the design elegantly. Despite its visual appeal, the platter shows signs of wear, most notably a significant chip on the rim that interrupts the otherwise smooth silhouette. This imperfection is a reminder of its vintage status, yet the platter remains structurally sound. The hand-painted finish retains its vibrancy, ensuring the decorative pears stand out with clarity and color. Ideal for display or functional use, the platter offers a glimpse into mid-20th century decorative arts. While the chip affects its pristine condition, the piece continues to exude personality and character, capturing the eye with its bold, playful design.
