The dish features a vibrant turquoise ground, adorned with detailed strawberry plant motifs, each leaf and blossom meticulously rendered in a lush palette of greens and pinks. Central to the piece is a sculptural bird, finely modeled and perched between two basket-like receptacles, which add a charming dimensionality. The piece demonstrates the characteristic high-relief and intricate detailing typical of George Jones Majolica, a hallmark of Victorian decorative ceramics. Minor age-appropriate crazing is visible, contributing to its authenticity and historical appeal, while the glaze remains vivid and intact. There is a subtle wear on the highest relief points, yet the paintwork is predominantly well-preserved, showcasing the craftsmanship's longevity.
