Description

A vintage fiberglass cherub sculpture, standing at 21.75 inches tall, captures the playful innocence of classical putti figures. The sculpture features a cherub holding aloft a scalloped basin, its form gracefully rendered with attention to the soft, rounded contours typical of such motifs. Crafted from fiberglass, the piece exhibits a textured surface that mimics the appearance of weathered stone, giving it a timeless quality. The patina is consistent with age, showing a gentle wear that enhances its vintage appeal. Minor surface scuffs and some discoloration are present, particularly around the base and edges, yet these do not detract from the overall presence of the piece. The sculpture remains structurally sound, with no visible repairs or significant damage, ensuring its durability as both an indoor and outdoor decorative element. Standing on a robust square base, the cherub's detailed facial features and wings add depth and character, while the light discoloration suggests a history of gentle exposure. This sculpture serves as a charming example of mid-20th-century decorative art, combining classical inspiration with modern materials to create a piece that is both evocative and enduring.
