Description

Set of four vintage fashion plate prints, elegantly housed in original gilt frames, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Each print is a charming depiction of period attire, showcasing intricate details and vibrant colors that have endured over time. The slight yellowing of the paper highlights the authentic vintage nature, yet the illustrations remain vivid and engaging, capturing the era's sartorial elegance. The frames are crafted from wood with a gilt finish, featuring a refined rope twist motif that adds a touch of sophistication. Minor wear is evident on the frames, consistent with their age, yet they maintain their integrity and charm. The wood reveals a subtle patina, enhancing their vintage appeal. Each frame is glazed, ensuring the prints are well-protected while ready for immediate display. Dimensions of 15 inches in width by 16.75 inches in height offer a balanced presence suitable for various settings. This ensemble not only provides a glimpse into historical fashion trends but also serves as an exquisite decorative element, preserving the delicate artistry of the period. The set stands as a testament to the craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibilities of its time.
