Description
A pair of vintage custom slab-built pottery lamps designed by Kass O’Brien, showcasing a unique blend of materials and craftsmanship. The ceramic bodies are intricately crafted with a textured finish resembling organic, rope-like waves, adding a dynamic visual element to the lamps. The rich, dark glaze on the ceramic bodies is well-preserved, exhibiting a subtle patina that speaks to their age and authenticity. Resting on finely crafted wooden bases, the lamps display a warm, smooth grain that complements the ceramic's textured surface. The wood is in excellent condition, with minimal scuffing, highlighting the care taken in their preservation. Brass components, including the lamp fittings, exhibit slight age-appropriate dulling, yet remain intact and functional, adding to the lamps' vintage charm. The lamps stand at 17.75 inches high and 9.75 inches wide, making them a substantial yet elegant addition to any space. The confident attribution to Kass O’Brien is supported by the distinctive artistic style evident in the craftsmanship and design. These lamps are not only functional lighting solutions but also sculptural art pieces, reflecting the designer's unique vision and attention to detail.
