Description

A pair of vintage brass urns featuring cherubic motifs, intricately cast in metal, likely from the mid-20th century. Each urn stands at 9.25 inches in height, with a matching width, showcasing a harmonious balance of ornate detailing and robust craftsmanship. The urns are adorned with cherub faces, surrounded by intricate scrollwork that extends into elaborately curled handles, drawing the eye to the artistry typical of revivalist styles. The original metal finish has developed a warm patina that enhances the depth and character of the brass, while minor surface wear and light tarnishing speak to their vintage authenticity. The rounded bodies of the urns transition gracefully into a pedestal base, which is decorated with a repeating leaf motif, suggesting a neoclassical influence. The scalloped rims add a touch of elegance, completing the overall aesthetic. Structurally sound, these urns exhibit no visible repairs or significant damage, making them a testament to enduring quality. They are not only decorative but also functional, capable of adding historical charm to a variety of settings. The visual impact of the intricate cherubic and foliate designs captures the light beautifully, showcasing the skillful execution of metalwork from this period.
