Description

A pair of vintage bone inlay curule stools, showcasing the artistry of hand-inlaid mother of pearl against a dark wood frame. The stools are upholstered in Quadrille’s “Royal Journey” fabric, offering a striking contrast with its bold floral patterns. The curule form, reminiscent of ancient Roman seating, is elegantly rendered with scrolling armrests and gracefully arched legs, each adorned with intricate foliage motifs. The bone inlay work is meticulously executed, with delicate vine patterns and floral medallions accentuating the structural curves of the stools. Despite their vintage nature, the inlay remains remarkably intact, with only minimal signs of wear, testifying to careful preservation. The upholstery, while exhibiting minor surface wear, retains its integrity and complements the light-reflective quality of the mother of pearl. Structurally sound, these stools reveal no visible repairs or losses, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional stability. Measuring 27.5 inches in width and 21 inches in height, the dimensions offer versatility for various interior settings. The craftsmanship and material quality position these stools as exceptional examples of decorative seating, merging functional design with artistic embellishment.
