Description

This low-profile coffee table is a compelling example of Mid-Century Modern design embracing bold tropical texture and contrasting graphics. The substantial, square base is meticulously crafted from thousands of stacked pencil reed rattan strands, forming a robust pedestal with gently rounded corners. The design features dramatic bands of natural rattan juxtaposed against ebonized black lacquer detailing along the edges and surrounding the top surface. A large, square black glass top sits flush, providing a sleek, reflective surface that enhances the table's clean, geometric profile and ensures practicality for daily use. Perfect for anchoring a modern seating arrangement, this table brings an immediate sense of sophisticated, layered texture to a living room, media room, or sunroom. Its dark color palette ensures it integrates seamlessly into both minimalist and maximalist designs. The table is in great vintage condition; minor scuffs to the glass and pencil reed are consistent with age and contribute to its authentic vintage patina. Measuring 40 inches wide, 40 inches deep (square), and 15.5 inches tall, this commanding piece offers functional art for the discerning collector.
