Description
This monumental vintage Murano glass urn is a masterful example of Italian glassmaking, blending classical Neoclassical silhouettes with the whimsical luxury of the Hollywood Regency era. Hand-blown with exceptional skill, the vessel features an elegant amphora form with gracefully curved handles, finished in a luminous champagne-gold luster. The glass displays a sophisticated "pulegoso" or bubble-textured interior that beautifully captures and diffuses light, creating a shimmering, ethereal effect. Resting on an architectural wooden base finished in hand-applied gold leaf with an ornate laurel wreath detail, this urn represents the pinnacle of mid-century Venetian artistry. Measuring 15" wide, 15" deep, and 15" tall, this substantial piece serves as a commanding centerpiece for a formal dining room or a curated entryway console. It is in great vintage condition, displaying minor surface scuffs and an authentic patina to the gilt base that enhances its storied character and handcrafted origins. Whether displayed as a standalone work of glass art or used to anchor a grand floral arrangement, this Murano treasure brings an air of worldly sophistication to any refined interior. Add this rare piece of Italian history to your collection today.
