Description

This striking vintage cast ceramic bowl is a masterful exploration of Organic Modernism and bold animalia. Hand-sculpted with a raw, stone-like texture, the vessel features intricate lizard motifs crawling along the exterior, with one winding tail gracefully extending into the interior. The piece is supported by a unique tripod base where the legs themselves echo reptilian forms, reflecting the bold, experimental craftsmanship of 1970s artisanal pottery. The matte, earthen finish provides a tactile depth that anchors any interior with a sense of primitive elegance and sculptural drama. Measuring 15" in diameter and 8.5" tall, this substantial centerpiece is ideally scaled for a curated entryway console, a sheltered garden terrace, or a high-end coastal living space. It is in great vintage condition, showcasing minor surface scuffs and an authentic weathered patina that only serves to enhance its storied character and handcrafted origins. Whether used as a unique catchall for natural objects or displayed as a standalone work of art, this lizard-adorned bowl brings an air of worldly adventure to your home. Add this exceptional piece of vintage modernism to your collection today.
