Description

This abstract mixed media piece layers nostalgia and bold minimalism, featuring vintage product advertisements printed on newsprint, partially veiled beneath a warm, yellowed wash that gives the surface an aged, almost sun-bleached tone. Over this base, a rich red layer of paint is applied—thick in some areas, more translucent in others—allowing glimpses of retro typography and imagery to peek through like fading memories. A few deliberate, thin vertical strokes in a contrasting hue stretch across the composition, adding rhythm and structure to the otherwise hazy field. The palette is warm and slightly weathered, evoking old paper, aged ink, and bold mid-century color. A piece that balances quiet texture with striking simplicity.
