Description

Vintage ceramic umbrella stand featuring a blue and white floral motif, likely mid-20th century. The vibrant cobalt blue pattern is densely applied, depicting intricate vines and blossoms against a crisp white ground. The cylindrical form is proportionate, with a gently flared body that tapers slightly towards the base, contributing to its stability and visual appeal. The floral decoration is applied with precision, lending a sense of movement and elegance to the piece. The surface exhibits minor wear consistent with age, adding character without detracting from its overall presentation. A small chip is present on the rim, visible in the images, but the piece remains structurally sound with no significant cracks. The glaze retains its luster, enhancing the detailed pattern and preserving the brightness of the color contrast. Standing at 19.25 inches in height and measuring 11.25 inches in width, this umbrella stand is both functional and decorative. The minor imperfections, such as the chip on the rim, are typical of vintage ceramics and do not compromise its integrity or aesthetic appeal. This piece would be a striking addition to an entryway, showcasing both utility and a classic design motif.
