Description

Crafted from alabaster and Lucite, this vintage scorpion bowl lamp exhibits a classic elegance with its smoothly carved, fluted alabaster vase. The ivory tones of the alabaster are enhanced by a subtle patina, lending authenticity and depth, while the swirling fluted design adds a sculptural quality. Standing on a clear Lucite base, the lamp achieves a harmonious balance between traditional material and modern design elements. The base not only stabilizes the piece but also provides a contemporary contrast that highlights the natural beauty of the stone. The lamp measures 11 inches in height and 6 inches in both width and depth, making it a substantial yet versatile piece. The alabaster surface is well-preserved with minor scuffs that testify to its vintage origins, yet do not distract from its overall presence. A small repair is evident at the back, seamlessly integrated into the design and minimally affecting its visual appeal. As a decorative object, the lamp serves as a testament to the fine craftsmanship and thoughtful design of its era. Its condition is very good, with the clear Lucite base remaining intact and unclouded, ensuring that this piece remains a striking focal point in any setting.
