Description

A Mid-Century Modern rattan coffee table featuring a cylindrical form and a stone top, embodying the organic minimalism characteristic of the era. The rattan base is crafted with a vertical alignment of slender bamboo poles, each displaying a warm, amber patina that speaks to its vintage origin. The original finish remains intact, showcasing a gentle sheen that enhances the natural texture and grain of the bamboo, adding depth and character to its appearance. The stone top, with its smooth, matte surface, presents a subtle contrast to the textured rattan. Its neutral tone complements the earthy hues of the base, harmonizing the piece's overall aesthetic. Minor surface wear is evident on the stone, typical for its material and consistent with careful use over time, yet it retains a clean and inviting presence. Structurally, the table is sound, with no visible repairs or significant damage, indicating its durable construction. The proportions are well-balanced, with a width and depth of 36.5 inches and a height of 19 inches, making it a functional centerpiece for a living space. This piece is a testament to the enduring appeal of natural materials and thoughtful design, a striking example of mid-century craftsmanship.
