Description
The John Richards Tornado Side Table is a striking fusion of wood and metal, embodying a modern sculptural form by the esteemed designer. The table features a round wooden top, showcasing the original finish, with notable wear and discoloration that speaks to its vintage charm. The wood grain is subtly visible beneath the patina, adding a layer of visual interest. Metal elements spiral elegantly around the central wooden column, converging in a dynamic, tornado-like structure. The metal showcases a gentle tarnish consistent with age, enhancing its antique appeal without compromising structural integrity. Brass accents at the joints provide a refined contrast to the darker metal rods, adding warmth and richness to the overall design. The base is crafted from wood, mirroring the top's finish and grounding the piece with sturdy elegance. Measuring 36 inches in width and depth, and 30 inches in height, this table is both a functional surface and a conversation piece. Its distinctive design and quality craftsmanship make it a hallmark of John Richards' work, perfectly suited for those who appreciate the blend of artistry and utility in vintage furniture.
