Description
This striking trio of original studio pottery sculptures is a masterful exploration of the 1970s Organic Modern aesthetic. Each hand-built piece showcases a unique totemic silhouette, finished in a brilliant array of saturated glazes: a bulky sun-drenched yellow, a statuesque mottled lavender-purple, and a vibrant speckled crimson. The raw, tactile textures and "volcanic" glaze variations reflect the era's fascination with geological forms and artisanal experimentation. This curated collection perfectly balances sculptural drama with a sophisticated bohemian warmth, making it a definitive statement for a contemporary loft, a coastal retreat, or a curated gallery wall. The yellow vessel measures 10.5" W x 7.5" D x 11.5" H; the tall purple totem is 9" W x 7.25" D x 27" H; and the red column vase is 4.5" W x 4.25" D x 12.25" H. These pieces are in great vintage condition, exhibiting minor surface scuffs and glaze variations that serve as a beautiful authentic patina, highlighting their handcrafted character. Whether displayed as a unified architectural installation or scattered throughout a residence to provide rhythmic color, these totems bring a soulful, artisanal presence to any space. Add this exceptional piece of mid-century ceramic history to your collection today.
